Day 11: Wives in Prayer for Our Husbands to Discipline Our Children in God's Ways

Ever struggled with discipline in the home? We have! Many, many, many times.  That my husband and I finally sat down and just sought God's Will for what the discipline methods should be in the home -- and it's definitely helped the "sanity" on a different level.  I can't say it's perfect, for "we" at times fail and fall short on our methods, and thus chaos rises... BUT God answered our prayer, it's just up to us to fully implement it.  Today's focus is to pray for our husbands, that they will become the Father of Discipline, a disciple, a teacher, and raise the children to respect, honor, and obey.

Praise
God is a God of Loving Kindness! Read Psalm 36:7-10, Psalm 41:11, Psalm 42:8, Psalm 63:3-4, Psalm 103:4 and Psalm 130:7.

Confession
This is time to examine your heart before the All Knowing God! Ask Him to reveal anything that stands in the way of your prayers, confess, forgive, move on.

Thanksgiving
Take this time to thank God for answered prayer or for what He is doing in your life, your husband's life, your marriage, or your family.

Intercession
Today we will pray that our husband's would Discipline our Children in God's Ways through Scripture Verses, just insert your husband's name into the blank spaces.

Proverbs 19:18
I ask God that You will continually help __________ parent our children.  May __________ discipline our children while there is hope, not indulging any angry resentments due to undue chastisements/discipline that would set our children to their own ruin, but rather I pray __________ would be guided by Your patience, Your love and Your understanding as he parents, corrects and disciplines in love.

Ephesians 6:1-2, 4
Lord I pray that our children would obey, honor and respect ___________ as their father.  I pray that __________ would not be irritated or provoked by our children, and not become exasperated or exasperate them to anger and resentment, but rather, I pray ________ would rear them (tenderly) in the training and discipline and in the counsel and admonition of the Lord Jesus Himself and that You would strengthen the relationship ___________ has with our children in a way that would encourage love and acceptance in our home.

Proverbs 20:7
May _________ be a righteous father walking in his integrity as he brings godly discipline and training to our children so that our children will be blessed (happy, fortunate, enviable) following after _________'s example.  Lord, please make ___________ a father after Your own heart, in Jesus name, Amen.

"And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith
and believing, you will receive."
Matthew 21:22
